Introduction

Hey folks! I have a mini 7-day cryptography challenge called "Crack the Nut". Yes, it's named that on purpose. Haha!

Your mission: unravel the hidden message in the ciphers.

Here's how it works: you'll receive a piece of cipher text every day for seven days. Each piece is part of a complete hidden message, encrypted using the same cryptographic algorithm. Your task is to identify the decryption algorithm for the provided cipher.

This November 2024 edition runs from November 11th to 17th. We'll share the answer key on the 18th.

Points to note

1. A simple hint will also be provided each day along with the new cipher to ensure you stay on the right track! 😉
2. To make this challenge feasible, only substitution cipher techniques are used, specifically simple mathematical formulas to encode the alphabets.
3. The ciphers will appear daily under the Days section. They will also be posted on Twitter.
4. On the 18th, a new section containing the answer key will be displayed here as well.

How to Check

Visit check-cipher.vercel.app and paste in your decrypted text to check.

⚠️ Don’t forget to select the corresponding day before submitting the form.

Points Table

1. You can tally your points using this table. The day you crack the code determines your score.
2. Also, keep a running total of points for each day you successfully crack the code. At the event’s end, your total score would be the sum of points scored on successful days.
